The Loyola Astronomy and Rocketry club was started three years ago and was formed with only a few keen students interested in astronomy and rocketry and an amateur astronomer who wanted to bring a unique club to the school.  From then on, it has grown to a club of over 30 plus members and continues to grow month by month with more fascinated students.  During the autumn and spring months we put most of our energy towards the design, construction and launching of rockets.  During the winter we concentrate primarily on other parts of Astronomy such as star gazing.  Also during the winter we submit several projects to space organizations such as NASA.

Most recent award: Silver Medal in the NASA Student Involvement Contest; 1st in Canada; Over 1300 projects from around the world submitted.
